The Whole Bus Came Back… Just to Hear the Ending
On a crowded bus, a young woman is on the phone, speaking just loud enough for everyone to hear.
“You won’t believe this… I got home early today… and I heard noises in the bedroom.”
People nearby start listening.
“I opened the door slowly… and I saw my husband… with the neighbor’s daughter…”
A few heads turn.
“I quietly walked into the kitchen… grabbed a—”
She suddenly looks up.
“Oh! This is my stop!”
She quickly adds into the phone:
“I have to go now. I’ll call you back at 6 and tell you the rest!”
And she gets off the bus.
That evening, she boards the same bus again.
She fr**zes.
It’s the same people.
Every single one of them.
Even an old man rushes in at the last second, slightly out of breath, grabbing the handrail.
“Did I miss it?” he asks.
Then he looks at her and smiles.
“Good. Everyone’s here.”
Pause.
“Go ahead… call your friend.”
