It was lunchtime at a Catholic school, and the children lined up patiently in the cafeteria.
At the very beginning of the serving table sat a large basket filled with shiny red apples.
Beside it, a nun had placed a neatly handwritten sign:
“Please take only ONE.”
“God is watching.”
The children nodded politely and each took a single apple.
So far…
Everything was going according to plan.
But farther down the lunch line…
There was an enormous tray piled high with warm chocolate chip cookies.
Someone had quietly slipped a handwritten note beside them.
It read:
“Take as many as you want…”
“God is busy watching the apples.” 😂🍎🍪
Needless to say…
Nobody left the cafeteria with just one cookie.
