The Secret to a Long and Happy Marriage
A couple was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on the beautiful beaches of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Their peaceful and loving relationship had long been admired by everyone in town.
A local newspaper reporter, curious about their secret to a happy marriage, asked the husband how they managed to stay so harmonious for 50 years.
The husband smiled and said, “It all goes back to our honeymoon in America.”
He continued, “We visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona and decided to take a horse ride down to the bottom of the canyon. Not long into the trip, my wife’s horse stumbled, and she almost fell off. She calmly looked at the horse and said, ‘That’s once.’
“A little further along, the horse stumbled again. My wife, just as calm, said, ‘That’s twice.’
“Before we had gone half a mile, the horse stumbled a third time. Without a word, my wife pulled a rev-0lver from her bag and sh0t the horse de@d.
“I was shocked and yelled, ‘What is wrong with you? Why would you do that?’
“She turned to me, looked me in the eye, and said calmly, ‘That’s once.’
“And from that moment on, we’ve lived happily ever after.”
