I was driving to work when an SUV in front of me was moving unbelievably slowly.
Then I noticed a “FOR SALE” sign on the back window with a phone number.
Perfect! I decided to call the owner.
Me: “Hi, I’m calling about the SUV you have for sale.”
Seller: “Sure! Yes, it’s still available.”
Me: “Does it run?”
Seller: “Absolutely. It runs great!”
Me: “Excellent. Then press the accelerator… or get the heck out of my way!”
There was a long silence.
Seller: “Wait… are you the car behind me?”
Me: “Yes.”
Seller: “Oh.”
Me: “Yeah. We need to talk about that ‘runs great’ claim.”
