The Confession at the Church
A 90-year-old grandmother walked into a church, sat down inside the confession booth, and waited for the priest. When the priest opened the small window, Grandma began to speak in a soft, trembling voice.
“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned,” Grandma said. “I am 90 years old, a widow, and last night, I committed the sin of vanity. I spent the evening with two handsome young men at the gala. We drank champagne, danced until 2 AM, and I even wore my most expensive diamonds just to show off.”
The priest asked, “My dear child, when was the last time you went to confession?”
“Oh, never, Father,” Grandma replied cheerfully. “I’m Jewish.”
The priest blinked in total confusion. “You’re Jewish? Then why are you telling me this in a Catholic confession booth?”
Grandma smiled proudly through the screen, “Oh, Father, I’m 90 years old! I’m just so proud of myself for staying out that late, I’m telling everyone I meet!”

The Sweet Habit on the Long Bus Ride
A long-distance bus driver was driving a crowd of passengers across the state. Throughout the trip, an old lady with snow-white hair sat in the very front row, right behind the driver’s seat.
Every 15 minutes, the old lady would lean forward, gently tap the driver on his shoulder, and hand him a handful of peeled peanuts. The driver was delighted. He ate them happily and thanked her repeatedly, as the snack helped him stay awake at the wheel.
This went on for two hours. As the bus was approaching a rest stop, the driver realized he had eaten a huge bag of peanuts. Feeling a bit guilty for eating so much of her food, he turned around, smiled, and said:
“Ma’am, these peanuts are delicious, but you’ve given me so many. What about you? Please keep some for yourself to enjoy.”
The old lady smiled warmly, waved her hand, and said, “Oh, don’t worry about me, son! I’m old and I don’t have any teeth left to chew them anyway!”
The driver was confused and asked, “Oh, then why did you buy so many peanuts in the first place, ma’am?”
The old lady replied, “Well, you see, I just love sucking the milk chocolate coating off the outside of the peanuts! Once the chocolate is gone, I can’t chew the nut inside, and throwing it away would be a waste, so I saved them for you!”
