A woman gave birth to a baby girl at Ishwardi railway station in Pabna with the help of police. The incident took place around 11 am on Tuesday (January 18).
It is learned that Konika Khatun, wife of Ujjwal Hossain of Arambari Bazar area of Ishwardi was going to her father’s house in Rajshahi with her husband. If you feel a slight pain before leaving the house, take a woman with you as a precaution. Severe pain is felt on reaching the station area.
Later, the woman, with the help of Ishwardi Railway Police, created an environment conducive to childbirth with the sari of a female constable. Konika gave birth to a beautiful baby girl there.
“I became a mother for the first time,” said Konika. I didn’t even realize it was my time. My calculations were wrong. I thought I would go to my father’s house and give birth. He thanked Allah.
Ujjwal Hossain, the mother of the mother, said that she left the house in the morning for her father-in-law’s house in Rajshahi thinking of childbirth at her father’s house and came to Ishwardi railway station. When they felt severe pain, they informed the railway police and they prepared the child at the environment station. Finally, he thanked the police.
Rabia Basri Rosy, a gynecologist at the local Aklima Clinic, said the mother was given the necessary treatment on an emergency basis as soon as she arrived at the hospital. At present mother and daughter are healthy.
Ishwardi Railway Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Nazrul Islam said, “After receiving the news, I sent two female constables to assist them.” They have provided all kinds of assistance to the mother for child delivery.
