Princess Anne is gradually returning to her public duties following a horse-related accident last month.
On July 19, King Charles’ sister made an appearance at a village near her Gloucestershire home to officially open Worcestershire Royal Hospital’s new emergency department.
This event was one of her scheduled public appearances.
Just a day earlier, on July 18, it was revealed that Princess Anne had to cancel several of her forthcoming schedules in Scotland and Norfolk.
Following her physicians’ instructions, Anne is gradually resuming her full-time work schedule.
Princess Anne was originally scheduled to visit the NLV Pharos, a lighthouse tender in Scotland, on July 22 and 23. However, royal officials stated that the considerable distance from her Gloucestershire residence made the journey impracticable at this time.

Princess Anne’s visit to Worcestershire Royal Hospital was especially significant because she needed emergency care after her injury on June 23.
Anne sustained a concussion and minor injuries in the incident at Gatcombe Park.
During her visit to the hospital, Princess Anne was observed interacting pleasantly with staff members.
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine applauded her recovery, writing, “Wonderful to see that our patron, HRH the Princess Royal, is recovering well and will officially open the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust’s new emergency department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester today.”
Earlier this week, on July 17, Princess Anne visited a British Army Military Intelligence Battalion in Salisbury, Wiltshire, which is also near to her house.
On July 12, she made her first public appearance since the accident, attending the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury University and Hartpury College in Gloucestershire.
Despite the setback, she appeared to be in her element at the equestrian event, where she spoke with RDA fans, presented awards, and met with winners.
After leaving Southmead Hospital in Bristol on June 28, Princess Anne has been getting physiotherapy at her Gatcombe Park home.
