Prince William’s Donald Trump meeting was ‘p.a.i.nful’ for King Charles

Without a doubt, King Charles and Prince William form the spine of the current Royal Family. William will eventually succeed his father to the throne. Unfortunately, current reports indicate that this has caused tensions between William and Camilla.

William, like Camilla, has stepped in to support Charles following the king’s cancer diagnosis. William has taken over many of his father’s royal duties, one of which took place earlier this week in Paris when the legendary Notre Dame church reopened its doors after being destroyed by fire five years ago.

During his brief visit to Paris, William met with many foreign leaders, including former and future US President Donald Trump. Unfortunately, one royal analyst now believes that King Charles will view his son’s visit with Trump as a painful reminder.

Prince William meeting Donald Trump in Paris

One of those in attendance was former — and future — President Donald Trump, who, to put it bluntly, has had strained connections with other Royal Family members. According to what is known, Donald’s wish to be close to a specific Royal Family member began in December 1992. At the time, Princess Diana had recently separated from Prince Charles, and one report claimed that Donald planned to make a move.

According to People Magazine, Trump began showering Diana with flowers, and she stated, “He gives me the creeps.” According to British writer Selina Scott of the Sunday Times, Trump relentlessly pursued the Princess of Wales.

Trump and Diana met once but never dated. When she sadly d.i.e.d, Trump had an odd encounter with popular radio DJ Howard Stern, who asked him, “You could’ve nailed her, right?”. Trump responded, “I think I could’ve.”

Donald Trump’s relationship with the Royal Family

Trump has changed his story about his love pursuit of Diana throughout the years. In 2016, he told Piers Morgan that he “respects her” but had “no interest” in dating her.

Trump’s recent comments about his love goals with Diana, among other things, have irritated her children, Prince William and Prince Harry. They were also apparently not well received by King Charles.

Donald Trump and Queen Elizabeth II first met in 2018. What happened beyond the Palace gates will most likely remain hidden, but one author, Craig Brown, has uncovered alarming details about the encounter.

Queen Elizabeth thought Donald Trump was “vert r.u.d.e”

In his memoir Voyage Around The Queen, which was serialized in the Daily Mail, Brown depicted Trump in a negative light, claiming that the Queen thought he was “very r.u.d.e.”

Unsurprisingly, Trump had a quite different opinion of his talks with the queen. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the former The Apprentice star said Brown’s charges were “totally false,” describing the author as a “sleaze bag.”

King Charles will see Prince William & Trump’s Paris meeting as a “painful reminder”

Prince William and Donald Trump briefly met in Paris, but one royal analyst believes Charles will not see his son’s meeting with the future President of the United States favorably. Instead, royal expert and historian Tessa Dunlop thinks it would be a “painful reminder” for the monarch, who possesses the “Royal Trump card.”
