Prince William Fears Brother Harry and Meghan Markle Could Turn King Charles’ Funeral ‘Into Another Twisted Money-Making Scheme’

Prince William is allegedly contemplating banning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from attending King Charles III’s eventual funeral, according to an exclusive report from RadarOnline.com. The concern centers on fears that the couple might exploit the solemn occasion for financial or media gain.

A royal insider noted that Meghan is often surrounded by controversy, which reportedly contributed to her exclusion from seeing Queen Elizabeth II before her death in September 2022.

William’s Plan to Distance His Brother

Sources say that William is prepared to cut ties with Harry and Meghan entirely once he becomes king. As King Charles, 76, battles an undisclosed form of can:cer, and with his desire to see his grandchildren Archie (6) and Lilibet (3) reportedly ignored, William appears increasingly committed to isolating the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from royal affairs.

His primary focus, according to insiders, is protecting the monarchy’s image, especially following a series of damaging episodes involving Harry and Meghan.

The couple stepped away from royal duties in 2020, moved to California, and quickly entered the entertainment industry, securing lucrative contracts with Spotify and Netflix.

Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare intensified tensions within the family, casting his father as emotionally distant, William as aggressive, and Queen Camilla as manipulative.

Despite the controversy, William has refrained from responding publicly, emulating the composed, duty-driven demeanor of his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

Fueling Speculation of a “Re:ven:ge Campaign”

Although Prince William presents a calm front, insiders suggest he is quietly harboring resentment, especially after Meghan accused Kate Middleton of making her cry before her wedding and implied that both Kate and Charles held racially insensitive views about her unborn child.

One source claimed William seems to be intentionally elevating individuals known to clash with Meghan into key roles.

For example, Jason Knauf, who once worked closely with all four royals and later accused Meghan of mistreating staff, was recently named CEO of the Earthshot Prize, a conservation charity founded by William.

In a separate instance, Iain Rawlinson, a close ally of William, joined the board of Sentebale, a charity Harry co-founded, shortly after Harry resigned as patron amid internal disputes.

Funeral Attendance Likely to Come with Conditions

According to royal insiders, William will likely enforce strict boundaries during his father’s funeral. If Harry is allowed to attend, it may be under strict conditions—most notably, that Meghan is not welcome.

One source remarked, “Harry tends to follow Meghan’s lead and seems to have come to terms with being estranged from his family.”

Additionally, William is expected to impose tight security measures at the funeral, including bans on recording devices, to prevent any unauthorized content from being leaked or used in media ventures.

“There’s a strong fear that Harry could turn the event into a profit-making opportunity,” the source said. “Even speaking to him makes people uneasy—they’re afraid anything said in confidence could be exposed.”
