Melania Trump made brutally honest remark about her husband Donald’s golfing habit as he’s accused of ‘cheating’ again

During his visit to the UK this week, Donald Trump took time to unveil the latest addition to his golf empire—an 18-hole course at Trump International Scotland in Aberdeenshire.

Golf has long been one of Trump’s favorite pastimes, and this trip was no exception. While the visit was private, it also included high-level meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Despite the diplomatic engagements, Trump still managed to fit in several rounds on the green.

Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump has not been shy about her opinions on her husband’s frequent golfing.

With the president loving golf, Melania has in the past spoken about her stance on the sport and whether she gets involved herself.

Earlier this month, the First Lady had joked about Trump’s love of golf, before confirming she doesn’t play herself.

“No, I don’t play golf,” she said, so it doesn’t seem like she’ll be joining him on the course anytime soon. According to the DailyMail.com, Melania did admit that she used to play, however.

Sharing a video of Trump playing golf, one person claimed that the president had been caught ‘cheating’ during his recent appearance on the golf course in Scotland.

A video shared on X shows two of Trump’s caddies walking ahead of his golf cart before one appears to drop a ball on the course.

Trump then gets gets out of his golf cart and walks toward the ball, seemingly as if it were his original shot, with the short video not showing what took place afterwards.

The clip, which has since racked up more than four million views since being posted on Sunday (27 July), appears to have been originally been posted by PatriotTakes, which describes itself as ‘exposing right-wing extremism and other threats to democracy’.

Trump’s decade-spanning golf career has been peppered with a number of cheating allegations throughout the years.

Former Sports Illustrated columnist Rick Reilly told Deadline: “I’ve always said golf is like bicycle shorts. It reveals a lot about a guy.

“And what it reveals about this guy is that he cannot lose. He has to win and he will do anything to cheat.

“And I know because I played golf with him and he took seven mulligans. He took a ‘give me chip-in.’ I’ve never even heard of a give me chip-in.”

Elsewhere on his UK trip, Trump was accused of taking aim at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry while gushing about the royal family.

Trump said: “Being with Charles, Camilla and everybody, I’ve got to know a lot of the family members. They are great people. They are really great people.”

Despite the comments, he then went on to make a vague reference to other ‘people’ who he said ‘weren’t great people’.

“And in that sense I think the UK is very lucky, you could have people that weren’t great people,” he said. “I don’t know if I can say that, but you could have people that weren’t.”

Starmer stayed quiet during the comments, but quickly interjected by saying, ‘we’re very lucky’.
