This terrible occurrence has raised worries about royal security and how burglars were able to enter one of the country’s most heavily guarded mansions. Want to learn more about it? Continue reading.
Masked burglars broke through a security gate at Windsor Castle, while the Prince of Wales and his family slept nearby in Adelaide Cottage. According to reports, two individuals smashed into the Shaw Farm gate using a stolen truck, stole agricultural machinery, and fled on the estate’s quad bike. Thankfully, King Charles and Queen Camilla were not at the residence at the time of the attack.
But Prince William and Kate, along with their three children, were at their residence, Adelaide Cottage. A source described the break-in to The Sun, saying, “They must have been watching Windsor Castle for a while.” William’s house is only five minutes from the main Castle, and the family is frequently seen using the shattered gate, which is the nearest exit to their home.
Even though the King and Queen were not present, the incident raised major worries about Windsor Castle’s security.
Earlier, armed police were seen leaving the castle’s two major public doors. However, it is thought that armed officers continue to guard the estate. According to our sources, the royal estate had alarms, but the break-in went undetected until the robbers broke through the protective barrier.
According to the Tatler, no arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is still ongoing. This is not the first time an intrusion has occurred at Windsor Castle; one occurred in 2021 when an armed invader broke in and claimed to have killed the Queen. This is frightening, and we hope Prince William and his family are safe.
