Teacher: “Class, today I want you to name something that ends with ‘-tor’ and also eats things.”
James raised his hand.
“Alligator!”
Teacher: “Excellent, James! That’s a big word.”
Another boy raised his hand.
“Predator!”
Teacher: “Very good, Alan! Another impressive word.”
Then Little Johnny proudly raised his hand.
“Vibrator!”
The teacher nearly fell out of her chair.
“Johnny… that certainly IS a big word, but it doesn’t eat anything!”
Johnny looked completely confused.
“Well, my mom has one, and she says it eats batteries like there’s no tomorrow!”
The classroom went completely silent.
The teacher slowly put down her marker.
