A mother of two gets kicked out from her children’s school because of her appearance and is unable to find work, even cleaning toilets.

Workers’ appearances have always been a sensitive issue. Many jobs need rigorous dress rules and a tidy appearance, particularly when dealing with clients. Most businesses have a dress code, even if the job is janitorial. Melissa Sloan learned about this the hard way.

Sloan recently made headlines when she said that she was barred from attending her young children’s performance, which perplexed her. Despite being a dedicated mother, Sloan had to watch her two children’ Christmas performance through the windows of their school hall since school administrators refused to let her in.

This is not the first time a mother of two has been turned away. Even local bars have taken to giving her the boot when she comes knocking, putting her Christmas plans to grab a round at her usual pub in jeopardy. Sloan admitted that people give her the cold shoulder because of her appearance.

The mother of two supposedly gets three new tattoos per week, and not all of them are done by a professional tattoo artist.

Even strolling down the street can be painful, especially when children begin to taunt the mother. However, the biggest consequence of Sloan’s odd appearance has been her difficulty to secure stable employment. Sloan has recently failed to find work, despite previously working as a toilet cleaner.

Being unemployed has had a significant impact on Sloan’s life, especially since she has two children. She said, “I can’t obtain a job. They will not have me. My first job was cleaning toilets many years ago. People have said I’ve never had a job in my life; I did have one once, but it wasn’t for long.”

Why Can’t Sloan Get A Job?

Sloan cannot even find a job as a janitor. She has apparently been unemployed for more than seven months and relies on unemployment benefits to maintain herself and her family. Despite her willingness to work, no one wants to hire her, and the mother of two understands why.

Sloan refuses to stop getting new tattoos, admitting that it has become an addiction.

The mom has over 800 tattoos on her body, many of them are on her face. Sloan admitted that employers had rejected her due of her appearance, adding, “I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they won’t have me because of my tattoos.”

The mother of two supposedly gets three new tattoos per week, and not all of them are done by a professional tattoo artist. While she used to consult specialists on many of her pieces, Sloan noticed that even local artists had begun to turn her away.

Now, she gets the majority of her new items from her partner, Luke, in their own house. Sloan admitted that experienced tattoo artists have refused to work with her because they are aware of her problem. With a small grin, she said, “They won’t do it because I’m beyond help – I’ve gone too far.”

Sloan, a Welsh native, has tattooed butterflies, crucifixes, and other abstract designs all over her face. She has now gone so far as to add further layers to the tattoos on her face, and she believes she has the most ink on her face in the world.

Sloan has revealed that she is attempting to break the world record for the most ink on a person’s body and become immortalized in the Guinness Book of Records. Sloan says she’ll never stop getting tattoos, even though she misses going to her local bar and wishes she could have seen her children’s nativity performance.

People’s Reaction to Sloan’s Tattoos

Sloan’s tattoos have caused concern among several groups, including pubs, tattoo parlors, schools, and potential jobs. People have commented on her lack of employment, pointing out that many firms have severe tattoo policies that require employees to cover up their body ink. A user wrote:
