27-Year-Old Dad Knows He Won’t See His Daughter Grow Up So He Records This Heart-Throbbing Message
At the age of 24, Nick Magnotti, a devoted Christian, was first diagnosed with a rare form of ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ– ᴍᴜᴄɪɴᴏᴜs ᴀᴅᴇɴᴏᴄᴀʀᴄɪɴᴏᴍᴀ. It began in his appendix and gradually spread throughout his abdominal cavity.
Through all the treatments, surgeries, intense chemotherapy, and hours and hours of excruciating pain, Nick continued to smile. He was only 27 years old when he lost his battle against cancer in 2013. However, before passing away, he left this video to share his belief in God and at the same time express how much he loved his 7-month-old daughter.
A large portion of this clip was dedicated to his then-7-month-old baby girl Austin. Part of the video focused on his wife and mom to their daughter, Alyssa Galios, holding their baby, sound asleep on her chest.
The loving dad sent a message to his daughter, expressing how much he would miss her and implying that he would see her in heaven one day. Magnotti held Austin on his lap and shared that she brings so much joy to their lives and that he loves her deeply.
Magnotti stated that although he won’t be there to bring his daughter up, he truly believes God will look after her.
“I would love to be part of raising her, every single year of her life but every day the Lord gives me with her is just the biggest blessing.”, the doting parent tearfully expressed.
Though he admitted that even with all his faith, he was still anxious about what the future may hold for Austin. However, Magnotti realized that this worry was just rooted in his human nature, not to be taken seriously.
Although the dєαth was coming, Magnotti expressed that he had no fear whatsoever. The father had made peace with this unavoidable fact of life, stating:
“I’m not scared of dєαth…You can say being a Christian that you shouldn’t be scared of dєαth…and I think it’s strange that I’m not scared.”
He passed away 3 months after filming the video, but he left something that will be cherished forever.
Following this ᴛʀᴀɢᴇᴅʏ, his wife wrote a book, “Made For Brave,” outlining her dead spouse’s battle with ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ, her grief, and of course, as her husband would have done, she included how God played a role in her journey.
