A husband walked into the kitchen to find his wife waiting for him with a warm breakfast and a mysterious little pill.
She smiled sweetly, slid the plate over, and handed him the tablet. “Here you go, honey. Take this Paracetamol right after you finish your breakfast.”
The husband blinked in confusion. “Why? I don’t need a fever reducer. I don’t have a fever.”
“Oh, I see,” the wife replied smoothly, pulling another medicine out of her pocket. “Alright, then take this Digene instead.”
The husband scoffed. “Come on! Why would I take an antacid? My digestion is great, I don’t have any gastric trouble.”
“Okay, okay,” the wife said, completely unfazed as she produced a third option. “Take this Pudin Hara then. It’s herbal and gives immediate stomach relief.”
By this point, the husband was getting suspicious. “My dear, I am telling you, my stomach is perfectly fine!”
“Well, if you say so,” she murmured, reaching into the cabinet. “But you should at least take this Combiflame. If you have any hidden aches or pains in your hands or legs, it will make them disappear in no time.”
The husband threw his hands up in the air. “Are you losing your mind? Where is all this sudden medical care and dramatic concern coming from? Look at me! Thank you, darling, but I am totally fit, absolutely fresh, and bursting with energy!”
The wife’s sweet smile instantly turned into a triumphant grin.
“Very good!” she said, tossing the pills aside and handing him a broom. “Now take this and clear all the cobwebs out of the ceiling corners, the spare rooms, and don’t forget the storage loft!”
