How to keep parsley fresh?

Before you check out the bowl method of storing fresh parsley, there are other quick and easy methods to try. Among the smart methods, the aromatic plant can be placed in a damp towel and not printed. It is wrapped then put in an airtight bag and in the refrigerator. A unique method to keep the leaves intact and not let them dry out. Then you can also store it in the freezer. How to do? First, it is washed and dries well so that it is always ready for use. Cut the parsley into thin pieces or chop it directly using the chopper.

Parsley bowl method: fresh for a long time

The most used method is certainly that of chefs, which is based on preserving the ingredient for more than a month. First of all, it must be washed and dried well, then finely chopped in a bowl. When it is full, you can pour it into a glass jar with an airtight seal. At this point, you can put it in a cool, dry place – not the fridge – for a month. Parsley can also be stored in another way.

In fact, it will be enough to cut the lower part, that of the stems, at a height of approximately 12mm in order to absorb all the necessary water. The parsley leaves should be dry. At this point the twigs can be placed in a glass bowl filled with 3/4 water. In this case it can be put in the refrigerator: to preserve the parsley, wrap a classic plastic bag around the bowl, securing it with an elastic band. The method is recognized because it retains the humidity of the leaves so as not to dry them out.
