Hard work has many benefits, but there are some things where being lazy is better for your health.
Lazy to put on makeup
Makeup is a daily routine for women. However, regular makeup can damage the skin and increase the risk of premature aging. According to Women’s Health magazine, cosmetics and makeup products inevitably contain preservatives and toxic chemicals. Even cosmetics that are considered “healthy” can have certain effects on the skin.
Under the influence of regular cosmetics, the skin can become inflamed, hair growth is stimulated, dry and rough due to dilated blood vessels. Symptoms seen on the outside of the skin are often obvious as redness, swelling or blisters.
Lazy to wash underwear by hand
In fact, being lazy to wash underwear by hand is not a bad thing. Although washing underwear by hand is a good thing, if not washed thoroughly, detergents may still be left on it. Using underwear with a lot of detergents not only causes discomfort when wearing but also damages the private area. Along with that, when washing underwear by hand, water or detergent residue is not completely squeezed out, which also creates conditions for bacteria to grow.
However, washing by machine or hand cannot completely remove remaining bacteria. Therefore, to ensure intimate health, underwear should be changed every 3-6 months.
Lazy to close the washing machine lid after washing
Some people worry that dust will get inside the washing machine if the lid is not closed. However, after washing, there will still be a lot of moisture in the machine, creating conditions for mold to grow inside.
After washing clothes, it is best to leave the washing machine lid open for 30 minutes to an hour to allow enough time for the moisture to dissipate, avoiding excessive moisture inside causing odors and mold. When the washing drum is dry, it can be closed to avoid dust and dirt.
Lazy to fold the blanket right after waking up
Folding the blanket right after waking up will prevent moisture and heat from dissipating. It also creates conditions for dust mites and mold to grow. Therefore, folding the blanket right after waking up is unnecessary.
You should shake and turn the quilt from bottom to top to let the moisture evaporate naturally. Along with that, you should also wash and dry the bedding once or twice a week to prevent it from becoming a breeding ground for dust mites and mold.
Lazy to take a bath thoroughly
Bathing for too long is not necessarily a good thing, especially for dry skin. Bathing for more than half an hour can cause the skin to be over-cleansed, leading to damage to the skin’s protective barrier function.
Therefore, the recommended bathing time is about 10 minutes and pay attention to cleaning areas such as armpits, groin, neck folds, behind the ears, and soles of the feet where a lot of dirt accumulates. Moreover, there are 5 parts of the body that if cleaned too much will cause disease: face, ears, nostrils, navel, and vagina.
For the ears, over-cleaning will des:troy the protective ability and increase the ri:sk of mold growth and otitis media.
Similar to ears, frequent nose picking can increase the risk of infection. Especially if there is a wound, it will increase the risk of rhinitis, nasal mucosal atrophy, sinusitis, chronic bronchitis and other diseases.
For the face area, excessive cleansing of the face will cause a large amount of moisturizing oil in the stratum corneum to be lost, which can make the skin dry, tight and uncomfortable. You should wash your face at most twice a day, in the morning and evening, and do not overdo it.
For the navel part that is close to the intestines and has thin skin. Rubbing hard can cause intestinal irritation and abdominal pain, and in the worst case, can cause cellulitis.
Regarding the vaginal area, over-cleaning can destroy the pH balance of the intimate area, easily causing vaginal or urinary tract infections.
Lazy to get out of bed right after waking up in winter
Lying in bed right after waking up is good for your health, especially in winter and when the temperature drops. Because when the weather turns cold, waking up in a warm bed and suddenly exposed to low temperatures outside can cause blood vessels to suddenly contract, blood pressure to increase, causing the risk of sudden death.
Therefore, everyone, especially those who often have high blood pressure, should pay attention to this. When lying in bed, you can do some exercise, drink a cup of hot water to warm up your body, cover yourself with a blanket, and put on an extra layer of clothing before getting out of bed.
